It has been exactly ten years to the day since my wife, Victoria
slipped into a coma from which she would never regain consciousness.

On the morning of November 3, 1987, I was to have met Victoria in
the recovery room of the hospital at 9AM following her elective
surgery for placement of a peritoneal dialysis catheter. Upon my
arrival there I was to discover that a horrible mistake had been made.

My wife had been without oxygen for perhaps 20 or more minutes during
the surgical procedure. The incompetence of an anesthesiologist was
the cause for my wife having been intubated incorrectly. An esophogeal
intubation had resulted in anoxic encephalopathy (brain death).

Sadly, she was to remain in a coma for eighteen days before her heart
gave out on her. Victoria turned 32 years of age on the 12th of November
- nine days before her death on the morning of November 21, 1987.

For helping me to leave Scientology I owe her an eternal debt of
gratitude, for without her love, support and understanding, I would
have had a very difficult time in adjusting to life outside of the
cult which I had been a member of for the previous decade.

For all those whose lives you touched, bringing so much love and joy,
I can only say that our lives have never been the same. She is missed by
many friends and family members whose lives she touched with her smile,
her laugh, her wit and intelligence, her creativity, and generosity.

Victoria Lin, my beautiful light and love, may your soul find Peace.

Your husband,
Warrior
