While staring at a huge picture of L. Ron Hubbard, they all shout in unison things like:
"*WE* ARE GOING *UP* WHILE THE WORLD IS GOING DOWN!" and "HIP! HIP! HOORAY!" 3 times.

You ought to see a Sea Org members-only event! They all dress in
their uniforms, complete with "service insignias", "specialist
pins", laniards, etc. While staring at a huge picture of L. Ron
Hubbard, they all shout in unison things like: "*WE* ARE GOING
*UP* WHILE THE WORLD IS GOING DOWN!" and "HIP! HIP! HOORAY!" 3
times. Then they all clap.
SO members are given ribbons in recognition for the number of
years of "dedicated service to mankind" (I still have some of
those too!). The members-only events feature "officers" in full
uniform, with white gloves, Sea Org flags, swords and caps. My
laniard (which I also still have) is red, as that color is worn
by those with specialist training. I have my ID badge (issued for
security purposes), service bars, and I even have my award pin for
my contributions to the "Friends of the Safe Environment" (a front
group incorporated to fund the Snow White conspirators' legal fees).
It was also known as the Committee for a Safe Environment and "SEF"
(the Safe Environment Fund).
So many weird memories...
